YOU ARE IMPORTANT TO HELP REACH VOTERS

If you have hoped to make a positive difference, to reach voters and save democracy, this is your year! We have an opportunity, through the Citizens Not Politicians ballot initiative, to stop gerrymandering by stopping politicians’ involvement in redistricting, thereby stopping them from choosing their own voters! We can also work to elect leaders committed to democracy!
Come to our Logan County Grassroots Democrats meeting on Wednesday, April 17 at 7 p.m. at The Marketplace, 130 S. Main St., Bellefontaine! We will discuss upcoming events which include numerous ways to reach out to voters!

RECENT EVENTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF DEMOCRATS AND GRASSROOTS DEMOCRATS

The Primary Election completed on March 19 was successful in gaining several hundred more Democrats (voters pulling Democratic ballots) in Logan County! In contested Democratic party races, it was determined that Tamie Wilson will be the Democratic candidate for Congressional District 4 (opposing Jim Jordan) and Lisa Forbes will be the new Democratic candidate for the Ohio Supreme Court, in addition to the two Democratic incumbents.
We have collected about 155 Logan County signatures for the Citizens Not Politicians ballot initiative to get the amendment on the ballot in November! To do our share, we need to collect 800 valid signatures, so we have work to do!
We have experienced the marvelous Total Solar Eclipse on April 8, which brought thousands of visitors to Logan County!  Those staffing the Democrats headquarters on April 8 and the weekend before, were visited by supporters from many other states (all very excited to find Democrats in rural Ohio) and from other counties in Ohio. (One visitor from Michigan was so excited by our presence that she took a photo of our sign!)
We have seen that the New York trial of Donald Trump has begun (today) with jury selection.
We sadly note the passing of Leland (Pete) Zilles, a long-time Democrat and supporter of Democracy in Logan County. His commitment with a smile will be missed and we offer condolences to his lifetime partner and spouse, Joyce.
